A precondition of ordering under the action is a network capacity available at the installation address, suitable for the reception of the service. If no UPC service is accessible at the requested installation site for the time being, we are still at your disposal. We will assess feasibility free of charge and – depending on the result of the assessment – we will install the network to the requested endpoint in most of the cases free of charge or for an amount specified in a customized offer. Providing higher bandwidth than indicated above or individual bandwidth different from that included in the packages is also possible. In the event of signing a contract for 2 years, our prices are even more favourable!

Domain name
Domain is the specific name of a computer on the Internet to distinguish it from others. Domains are only labels that may be used instead of the IP addresses difficult to remember. E.g. something.hu

E-mail
Electronic correspondence that enables the user to forward written messages through the Internet. E-mail addresses may be specified by the service providers, e.g. kovacs.bela@upcmail.hu, or individual based on the domain name registered by the customer, e.g. kovacs.bela@kovacsbela.hu.

Webmail
E-mails can be reached not only through specific mail programs but through the websites appearing on the Internet as well. Correspondence can be managed in the same way as using the mail program on our home computer.

Fix IP
Computers registered on the Internet are marked by specific IP addresses so as they easily communicate with each other; find each other. Constant IP address can be set if required so as other computers on the internet always know where to connect if they wish to communicate with a specific computer.

Fair use policy
An overall agreement between Internet users on the everyday use of Internet accesses and the restrictions of use.

VoIP
Voice transmission through the Internet. A computer can send voice message to another computer in a digital form enabling two computers to communicate by telephone on the Internet.

Wifi
The popular name of a wide-spread standard for wireless microwave communication (WLAN).

Hotspot
Public, wireless Internet access point (WiFi).

VPN
Virtual private network. Computers on the Internet establish a confidential, closed data connection among each other for communication.
